Response to the California Wildfires and Hurricane Katrina

The response to the California fires and Hurricane Katrina was very different. The California fire victims were attended to much quicker than those of Hurricane Katrina. I think the primary reason for this is because of the money situation in both these regions. California is more of a posh area, whereas Louisiana is more of a poorer place. However, I also think people did not realize how serious the damage in Louisiana was for a long time. But in CA new reporters were on the fires 24/7 showing people how much damage there was. However the United States has done a good job in helping the families of both these regions.
